Prince of Wales Private Hospital would like to extend their congratulations to Dr Michael Solomon for his appointment as a member of the International Hip Society (IHS). Dr Solomon has recently returned from his first IHS closed meeting which took place in Athens Greece, from May 15th-18th 2024.

The IHS is an academic by-invitation-only membership organisation, consisting of 100 active members who are internationally recognised for the development and dissemination of knowledge, research and study on the afflictions of the hip. This makes Dr Solomon one of five members from Australia.

The 100 members of the IHS are recognised as leaders in training, teaching, and education in their respective countries and worldwide. The research presented at the recent meeting in Greece is of the highest quality and encompasses the full breadth of hip surgery including hip preservation, arthroplasty surgery and revision. This research will now be disseminated through abstracts and papers that can be translated into clinical practice worldwide.

It is an honour to have a surgeon of worldwide recognition at Prince of Wales Private Hospital, dedicating the highest level of professional standards, and leading in continuous advances in professional knowledge and treatment of disorders of the hip.

Congratulations Dr Michael Solomon!
