Maternity Visiting Guidelines
Birthing Suite
Your Partner is encouraged and welcome to stay throughout your maternity stay.
You will also be allowed a second support person during your birth if you wish. The second support person will need to be approved by your Obstetrician and the Birthing Suite Manager. The second support person will only be permitted during the birth and will be required to meet the criteria below. No children are permitted to visit the Birthing Suite.
Special Care Nursery
Partners and Grandparents are welcome to support you and your baby in our Special Care Nursery. We do ask that you have no more than 2 grandparents at a time. They will be required to meet the criteria below. No children are permitted to visit the Special Care Nursery. And please note, this is subject to change, depending on how many babies we have in the Special Care Nursery at one time. Thank you for your understanding.
Criteria:
- Have not tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 7 days
- Are not a high-risk contact of someone who has COVID-19 in the previous 14 days
- Do not have any COVID-19 Symptoms

Maternity Unit Visiting Hours
Strict visiting rules are in place to encourage protecting vulnerable newborn infants and women and also to encourage bonding with your baby.
- Visiting hours strictly 4-7pm daily
- No more than 2 visitors (Plus your partner) allowed at the bedside at the one time (This includes children)
- The only children <12 years permitted to visit are the children of the inpatient

Digital visits
We encourage your family and friends to keep in touch via digital technology such as Skype, Messenger, FaceTime or WhatsApp.
Parking
The car park is privately managed by Point Parking, who offer a 5-day discounted rate of $100.80 for maternity admissions. Maximum daily rate for visitors is $35.00.
To get a pass, please follow these steps:
- Take a ticket at the boom gate upon arrival.
- Go to the Point Parking office on Level B1 of the car park within the first 24 hours of your car park entry to validate your 5-day pass at a discounted rate.
Please note: The ticket must be validated within 24 hours of parking to be eligible for this discounted rate.
