At Prince of Wales, we have highly experienced, qualified and supportive specialist Neonatologists working at our hospital. Their focus is on the medical care of newborn infants, particularly those in our Special Care Nursery. Our team of Neonatologists provide 24-hour comprehensive care, including monitoring vital signs, managing respiratory distress, and addressing any health issues that may arise in the first few weeks of life.

We are fortunate to be the only private hospital in Sydney with a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the hospital (Royal Hospital for Women) to help provide back up in the unlikely event of an emergency. We also have the distinct advantage of being on the same campus as the Sydney Children’s Hospital and it's Intensive Care Unit, so a full range of subspecialty services can be accessed on site if required, avoiding the need for transportation to another facility.
