Hybrid Theatre 

The state-of-the-art hybrid operating theatre at Prince of Wales Private Hospital was the first system of its kind in the Asia Pacific. 

It combines the Maquet Magnus Operating Table System together with the Philips Azurion with FlexArm CT scanner (computerised X-ray). Both the operating table and the FlexArm are adjustable so that the patient is not disturbed and surgical staff are more comfortable.

The result of this technology is a multi-purpose operating theatre that allows for a range of image-guided surgeries across a variety of medical specialties – vascular surgery, cardiology, radiology, obstetrics and more – but can also be used for traditional procedures. In some cases, both are performed in a single session.
